PACT leads the effort in Santa Clara County to create excellent new public schools for all children.

The dream of graduating from college is out-of-reach for thousands of children in low-income communities. Through PACT, hundreds of parents and community members in some of the most impoverished neighborhoods are working together to create a community in which all children have access to an excellent public school.

PACT's volunteer grassroots leaders are transforming underachieving school districts in East San Jose and in other parts of Santa Clara County. PACT’s work is serving as a model for how parents can drive an effort to create new, first-class schools for all children.

“We won’t stop organizing and holding the school board accountable until all our children have a real chance of going to college. They deserve nothing less!”

Aleida Nunez, PACT volunteer leader in creating a new policy in Alum Rock to create new, small public schools.
